Care Home Funding Report: what it covers

A plain-English guide to the report scope, limitations, digital delivery, and when regulated advice may be appropriate.

Last updated: 14 July 2026

1. What the report is for

The Care Home Funding Report is a personalised digital report based on the answers you provide and publicly available care-funding rules. It is designed to help you understand your likely position before speaking with your council, NHS body, care provider, or adviser.

The report brings the main funding routes into one place: NHS Continuing Healthcare screening, council means-test context, Deferred Payment Agreement suitability, and practical next steps for your situation.

2. What it includes

  • A personalised indication of which care-funding routes may be relevant based on your answers.
  • A council means-test explanation using current public rules and the financial details you provide.
  • NHS Continuing Healthcare screening across the care domains covered in the assessment.
  • Deferred Payment Agreement context where property appears to be part of the funding picture.
  • Practical next steps, including what to check, who to contact, and what information to prepare.

3. What it does not replace

The report is not regulated financial advice under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. It does not recommend financial products and does not replace advice about pensions, property, investments, tax planning, estate planning, or long-term financial planning.

It is also not legal advice, medical advice, or a formal decision from a council, NHS Integrated Care Board, or other public body. Eligibility decisions are made by the relevant statutory bodies, not by RightCareHome.

4. Digital delivery and cancellation

The Care Home Funding Report is personalised digital content. At checkout, we ask you to confirm that you want us to start generating and supplying the report immediately.

Once generation starts, your statutory 14-day right to cancel ends for this digital content. This does not affect your non-excludable consumer rights if something is not supplied correctly or was charged in error.

Our refund policy may still give you additional support beyond the statutory cancellation position. You can read it on our Refund Policy.

5. How to use the report

Use the report as a preparation tool. It can help you organise the figures, questions, and evidence you may need before speaking with your council, NHS body, care provider, or adviser.

If your family needs a regulated recommendation about financial products, property, pensions, investments, tax, or estate planning, consider speaking to a regulated later-life financial adviser. The Society of Later Life Advisers provides a directory of accredited later-life advisers.

6. If something looks wrong

The report depends on the answers entered and the public rules and data available at the time it is generated. If you spot something that looks wrong, email hello@rightcarehome.co.uk, and we will review it with you.

In short: the report helps you understand and prepare. It does not tell you what financial product to buy, guarantee a council or NHS decision, or replace regulated professional advice where your family needs it.
